You're invited to join the DC Office of the Chief technology Officer, acting CTO Lindsey Parker, US Ignite, District leaders and residents for the GigabitDCx final live demo January 30, 2019.
Six semi finalists will demonstrate their next-generation, gigabit application solutions in city mobility or the environment, for the chance to win an award of up to $34,000.
Launched October 13, 2018, GigabitDCx attracted over 100 innovators and received 21 submissions. Proposed solutions leveraged advanced networking technologies to develop and demonstrate next-generation, gigabit applications addressing some of the cities most complicated problems; traffic and a changing climate.
During phase 2, semi-finalists worked to advance their concepts and build prototypes of their proposed solutions, tailored to DC and judges suggestions, for a chance to receive or split up to $34,000 in award funds. Finalists will also have the opportunity to work with the District of Columbia Government to beta-test their solutions, if able.
